St Louis Maternity Photographer
Charlotte’s maternity session at Lafayette Square Park felt timeless, loving, and fun all at once. She wore a black midi dress with a black sunhat creating an effortlessly chic look. Before we met up at the park, Charlotte went to the Blow Out Bar downtown and met up with her favorite make up artist for beautiful, glamorous makeover. I wish I could pull off pink eye shadow like she did. Nothing like a little pampering before a photo shoot, especially when you’re 8 months pregnant! Nick wore a pale pink polo to celebrate his little girl on the way.
Once at the park we meandered between three locations for portraits. The park is gorgeous and it isn’t difficult to find a great spot. The bridge and pond is an obvious favorite as well as the two older brick buildings. While we were photographing on the bridge a family was blaring 90s rap music for their picnic below. Although this wasn’t exactly the feels and emotions Charlotte and Nick were going for, we couldn’t help but smile. I mean TuPac and Biggie add such an ambience, right? J After vacating the bridge, leaving the family to their tunes and rap battles, we headed for the quieter open spaces under the old redwood trees. Slipping off her booties, snuggling up to Nick on an old lavender wedding ring quilt, Charlotte was in her element. Peaceful and loved looked gorgeous on Charlotte.
I’d love to have more sessions here at Lafayette Park – it’s gorgeous, great lighting, and there is a funky coffee shop nearby. What more could we ask for?! Anyone up for a sunrise or sunset session? Contact me
